Explanation:
✅ Correct Answer: B) 1 Dot, 5 Bam, 7 Bam, 6 Dot, 6 Crak, 6 Bam, or 3 Bam,
As exposures are made, identify the likely hand so you know which tiles are dangerous to discard. In this case, the pattern could point to either a 13579 Section or a 369 Section and several hands are possible. The result is that it’s difficult to defend against all of the hands shown below:
13579, Line 1: 11 Dot, 333 Dot, 55 Bam, 777 Bam, 9999 Crak, needs 1 Dot, 5 or 7 Bam to complete the hand.
369, Line 1: 333 Dot, 666 Dot, 6666 Crak, 9999 Crak, needs 6 Dot, 6 Crak or 6 Bam to complete the hand.
369, Line 2: 33 Bam, 66 Bam, 333 Dot 666 Dot, 9999 Crak, needs 3 Bam, 6 Bam, or 6 Dot to complete the hand.
With 3 Dots and 9 Craks already exposed, the player may still need: 1 Dot, 5 Bam, 7 Bam, 6 Dot, 6 Crak, 6 Bam, or 3 Bam. All of these appear in Answer B. If it’s early in the game, you can take a chance with the tiles that complete a Pair, but late in the game any of these can be in play.
❌ Answer A: 1 Dot, 5 Bam, 7 Bam
This covers the 13579 option but ignores the 369 possibilities.
❌ Answer C: 6 Dot, 6 Crak
This identifies tiles for a 369 hand but leaves out both the 13579 option and other 369 variations.
❌ Answer D: 6 Dot, 6 Crak, 3 Bam, 6 Bam
This captures the 369 hands but does not account for the 13579 Section.
Beginner’s Takeaway: You may not yet be able to identify the potential hands your opponent is playing, but you know they are in the 13579 or 369 section. Before throwing a tile that works towards either, check the table. Hold it for a bit if none have been thrown.
Advanced Moves: Identify all realistic hand options and the tiles needed to complete them. Answer B includes seven tiles, half a hand. Narrow that range by watching discards and exposures. If the player throws any of these tiles, you can safely eliminate possible hands and reduce the number of dangerous tiles, unless another player needs them.
